This Year...

So like other people i have goals for the year or things i would like to accomplish this year. So far i think the year is starting off okay. Could have been better but it is what it is. So the things i would like to achieve this year are:
- Just Be Me
-Be Happy, truly happy no matter what
-Get back on to being a vegetarian (i just hate that for now i had to start back eating meat but at least i know that i can actually do it, LOVE it and stick to it!)
-Learn to Crochet
-Get better at knitting
-Actually knit something that i'm extremely happy with how it turns out
-Get serious with my health...

i think that sums it up for now.

*2*

That above is my new project for now... I want this hat to turn out. I made the other in my previous entry sometime ago and it didn't turn out so good. Let's just say that my baby girl ended up with it, even though she has got to grow into it some. It looks way better on her than me! I figured i would go cheaper this time just in case.

It's 2011! Wow what a year 2010 has been! So i decided to get on board and do a picture a day. Tried it during Dec. '10 missed a few days so here i am again trying it. Wish me luck!

** Next Project **

So here i am starting my next project. But what can i say when i was just dying to use the Alpaca yarn that i bought for this hat... But i have to say, it doesn't knit too well. It's very silky. Let's hope it stays on this big head of mine ;)

Knitting for a good cause!

I am back and we are going to see how long I stick with blogging this time. Hopefully awhile :)

I have found a new addiction! It's called Knitting :) I just don't have anyone to knit with. I'm trying to teach my sister but that isn't going to well. She is doing good but we will just leave it at that. I can't wait til my baby girl gets big enough for me to teach her.

I wanted to share something that I'm currently working on. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Creative Yarns in Macon are getting people to knit prostheses for women that have had mastectomies. They will give these to the women on the 23rd at the Race for the Cure. I've only knitted 2 and I plan to maybe get another one done by the 22nd which is coming up pretty fast. Maybe I should get an earlier start next year.

This is my first finished one

And this is the back, this is where you put the stuffing in.

This is the 2nd one that is still in progress...

I will share more "projects" later!! I have found more things that i want to knit, now if i just had more time :)

......Bubbles....

Who knew that bubbles could make a 9 1/2 month old happy?!?!?! My sister has totally got this baby hooked on bubbles. You say "Bubbles" and she is looking at the door and pointing and saying "bye bye."

I so totally don't want that baby pictured above to turn a year in 2.5 months!! She is growing up. I just want to keep her a baby. So now i get to experience all the things that my mom went through when she had my sister and i. I hate to say what my mom use to tell me "wait til you have kids..." is so true, you never know how they felt about you until you have one.

Gotta get that Boom Boom Boom...

This little chick loves music!! She gets most of that from her dad! She hears music and she gets to going.

I found a new passion that i just can not get enough of, or should i say i rediscovered a passion that i can not get enough of, SEWING.... I'm a sewing fanatic! And just not enough time to do. I'm currently making a rag quilt purse. My husband calls it a furry monster....he just doesn't understand *smile* I'll share some pics when i get done but for now i'm off to sew...but before i do, here is a pic of me and my baby girl taken 3 nights ago...

My little Island Girl

My happy, content little girl! She loved P.R. and her pa-pa keeps saying how she was soo happy there and she was enjoying her stay. She kept everyone happy and laughing and i think that she may have gotten about one thousand kisses *smile* We had landed at the airport in San Juan and we was going through the airport when a little boy that couldn't have been no more than 2 1/2 -3 years old was staring at Israel then he told his mommy "Look at the baby," I thought that was sooo cute, he was basically a baby himself. More pics to come, i promise.... But for now it's night night time for me. Israel has a dr's appt in the morning that includes shots!! My poor poor Sqiggles.....
